Rants and Raves

I’ll do the rant first, OK? If anyone was going to bet any money on whether I would hear anything back from the PAGenWeb  regarding the plagiarism issue with the Chester site, hopefully you held on to your money, as  silence reigns from all parties connected with this issue. Can”t say I’m surprised, unfortunately. So far, it’s been five days without a response, when that number gets to seven, I’ll send a reminder and see if any progress is made. In a similar vein, a second issue of this type also cropped up this past week, but that one was resolved overnight, but that was on a personal website, not a large multilevel organization that supposedly has standards.

UPDATE: Last Monday afternoon, the host provider deleted the file from the Chester site. He had been unavailable for several days and took care of it as soon as he caught up with the email. Of no particular surprise is the fact that neither of the other tow parties from the PAGenWeb have contacted me at all.

On a much happier note, a book for which I’ve been searching for a number of years finally popped up from a used book-seller, R. Young Books of Philadelphia, and I was able to snag it. Yay! And a second book that I was also hoping to find was available from Mastof Books in Berks County at an extremely reasonable price! Not only did both of the book-sellers respond very promptly, Lori from Mastof even sent a second personalized message thanking me for the order and letting me know she was getting it ready for me. Kudos to both of these companies for a job well done!
